Zoom Webinar from Honolulu, Hawaiʻi
3-4 August • Daily from 10:00 to 13:30 HST

Hosted and facilitated by Big Ocean, this 2-day virtual gathering aims to share lessons learned and to address the priority needs of managers and teams working on-the-ground globally. Registration using Big Ocean’s Eventbrite page is required and will give you access to the recordings if you are not able to attend the live session.

Also, official participants will be able to take our LSMPA Management survey, which will both support the development of the agenda, and provide critical data to guide the design of future LSMPA best-practice standards.

The 2021 Summit objectives are to:

1) initiate and strengthen relationships between and amongst managers and sites;

2) outline the history and context of large-scale MPAs as a means to better understand the role of ocean protection at-scale as we seek to meet the 30 x 2030 global targets and to address wider social links such as food security and livelihoods;

3) share foundational and emergent research that addresses priority needs of sites and managers; and

4) set the stage for future virtual gatherings and presentations to support best-practice research, management, and governance globally.

Registration is free. Get your tickets today on our Eventbrite Page.
